Extended Preschool, Adventure Play After School, and Summer Camp

Adventure Play After School (APAS) is University Primary School's after school program, featuring some of the same play workers and elements of KOOP (Kid Owned and Operated Play) curriculum and philosophy from our local KOOP organization! Children adventure in multi-age play to build, construct, imagine, and decide how to put their ideas into action. Sign up for optional extended care preschool (12:00-3:00 pm) and/or optional after school for preschool-5th grade (3:00-5:30 pm) is handled through the school office.  For extended preschool, children should pack a hearty lunch, a blanket, and a lovey. They eat, have a quiet time/nap, activity time, and outdoor play.

On days where no students are present, neither of these programs are offered.

During APAS, children preschool-5th grades are combined into one family group led by one or more after school play workers and University student volunteers. A small snack is provided to this group by the school, but families should plan to pack “a hearty snack" and water to be consumed during after school. Families can pick up children at or before 4:15 or at or before 5:30 pm for after school (different rates apply). Depending on the school year, some after school clubs are established by teachers, families, or community groups. If you have an idea for a club you would like to offer, please see the director!
